It is intended to supplement the basic aircraft loading manual or airdrop manual (TO 1C-XXX-9 or TO 1C-XXX-1-4) and airdrop technical publications by furnishing additional data pertinent to airdrop. These criteria are to be used by Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) or other Air Force Personnel charged by proper authority with the responsibility for technical approval of nonstandard airdrop loads, equipment, or procedures. It is the basic document for implementing the aerial delivery test agreements between AFMC and the operating commands. These criteria are furnished to test personnel in order that they may expedite testing through preparation of test items within the parameters of these criteria. Other Air Force publications pertaining to airdrop will be reviewed for conformance to these criteria prior to release.
